I was thinking something with a little less Dewy and Stafy.

Yeah... it should just have Kirby, Dedede, and Meta Knight as the main characters. Make it a cloudy themed, pink, rainbow-esque banner with the listed characters plastered on top. It must be the same size as the Metallsterne banner.

Yeah, I've been thinking that for some time too. Kirby is enough.
The Metallsterne banner is what size? 950x158, right?
I think the forum banner can be much longer than that, but the site banner's probably that size.
I think I have an idea of what to do now, but I want to keep the BG simple. Not too many clouds and rainbows(besides, rainbows are hard)

I'm pretty sure those dimensions are correct. You could make two banners. One for the site, and one for the forums.

If each section of the site can each hold one banner, I'm going to make even more.

A simple design for the forum background would be enough, but like you said, aerial it is.

I could make better clouds. BTW, can I make an image that's 1024 pixels long(and then tileable downwards only)? I've been planning on making the BG.

The banner for the forum is coming along nicely.

Unfortunately, you can't count on everybody using that screen/window size, the bane of all webdesigners.

Well, guess that can't be helped then. Don't worry, it'll still look somewhat flowing and connected to each other even if you use a 1600x1200 monitor.
800x600 users don't need to worry as it won't even tile.

Yeah, but how many people have 800 x 600???? I was referring to larger monitors, but if it tiles and looks good, than that's fine.

I've only ever met 1 person who uses an 800 x 600. I almost had a heart attack.

The transparent edges still bug me a little, I can see half-visible lines. I may have to fix them before we start using the new look.

Well I can't tell very well on a white BG, but those are always really hard to do.
