You still let me make topics for some reason. In fact, I'm surprised I'm not banned from the internet yet.
BUT ANYWAYS what are you watching, either currently, recently, or soon? I'm in the middle of my anime schedule; just finished One Piece, where I cried like a baby because it was so sad, and now I'm about to start the Feng-Shui Wind Ninja Arc of Rurouni Kenshin, where I will cry like a baby because it's so mind-bendingly terrible.
johnny: Personally, I don't care who makes topics now, just make them and everyone's happy. We need a whole lot more of them that doesn't die out within its first week.
Back on topic...I was watching Seven Pounds. Good movie. Oh, and American Idol 8. It's been traditional for me to watch it every year. Mostly for the hilarious auditions anyway.
Since August of 2008, I've been watching Yu Yu Hakusho on DVD. I remembered it from Toonami - I enjoyed it then, and the new sets were cheap as dirt, so I thought, what the hell, why not.
There were so many things I hadn't seen. Genkai's Tournament Arc, for example - watching Kuwabara's arms broken like twigs was absolutely brutal. The Saint Beasts Arc was when I first started tuning in back in the day, and it was just as good as I remembered. The entire Toguro Arc - from the Yukina Rescue Mission to the Dark Tournament's stunning finale - was only a vague memory, and watching it play out before my eyes was invigorating. The ending had tears running down my cheeks, if I recall correctly. Then the Sensui Arc, which I had just read in Shonen Jump... seeing it in motion was absolutely fantastic. And, as the last two weeks have shown me, the virgin territory of the Three Kings Saga was the perfect cherry on top.
One of the greatest casts I've ever seen, a fantastic dub, and a storyline that transcends its genre and all of the trappings contained... Yu Yu Hakusho is now, undoubtedly, one of my favorite series in history, period.
Tonight, I watched the final three episodes... spoilers ahead, if you hadn't guessed. I saw Yusuke realize who he was, and what he really wanted, and I saw the various threads all come to a close. Seeing the meeting between father and son, demon and human, ancient and young, had me choking back tears for reasons I don't quite understand, honestly. For the final episode - "To The Future" - I couldn't hold them back anymore. When they finally, after all this time, kissed on the beach... I started to sob and cry and bawl. Tears of joy for a good story's finale, or tears of sorrow for a show that's gone, I'm not entirely sure... but it's been twenty minutes and I'm still quivering a bit, with my hands and feet tingling.
No show has ever done that to me before. Toonami's death made me feel something similar... but the pure, ecstatic emotion that Yu Yu Hakusho's ending has made me feel right now, as I type, is something I wouldn't expect media to ever give me.
Though just typing this out on a forum is really a useless motion, I wanted to express it somehow. Thank you, FUNimation Entertainment. Thank you, Studio Pierrot. Thank you, Noriyuki Abe. Thank you, Justin Cook, Christopher Sabat, Chuck Huber, John Burgmeier, and the entire cast of voice actors. Thank you, writers, animators, and the crew on both sides of the Pacific. Above all else, thank you, Yoshihiro Togashi. The effort put into such a sublime story is tangible, and for all the happiness and excitement it's given me, I'm proud to say I own this show...

Hmph @ Slyfur having more of a life at any of us...
Anyway, Indiana Jones!!! Saw Temple of Doom and The Last Crusade today. Damn good movies! I've seen temple before, but I think this is the first time I've seen crusade. I dare you to beat that!
Indiana Jones is my favorite film series ever, and The Last Crusade is definitely my fave. All of them are great, though, even if Temple of Doom and Kingdom of the Crystal Skull are steps down.
