How many enemies are here? I wouldn't want to think about how short this game would be with only the 4 NES opponents.

Well, actually, there were, like, ten in the original. There are only 13 in this one - I believe - but there's also a head-to-head 2P mode, so that TOTALLY makes up for the relatively short campaign mode.

I would imagine, at least.

NEW STUFFS!

First of all - two new confirmed characters!

NEW GAIZ!

The big fat bald guy is Bear Hugger, Canada's representative. The slim, evil-lookin' one is Don Flamenco of Spain. More pics HERE - also, thanks to that poster for the images, obviously.

These two - in addition to the four revealed and Soda Popinski, who's all but confirmed by the ESRB rating (which mentions a boxer who belches between rounds) - gives a confirmed list of seven fighters. As for those left... it's probably Bald Bull, Super Macho Man, and a good mix of original Punch-Out!! characters, Super Punch-Out!! characters, and new guys.

Since I believe there's a total of 13 enemies, it'll probably be the classic system of three circuits, each with four fighters, and a single "final boss." Who'll that be? Mr. Dream again? Who knows.

Personally, I'm hoping they bring back Dragon Chan or Bob Charlie. Those are my faves from Super Punch-Out!!

Also - NEW VIDEO, confirming a versus mode and a "special surprise" when Mac Baby gets mad.

Eh. Either way, I still think Popinski's getting in.

Also, I've heard rumors that 13 is only the "main" cast, and there may be some unlockable characters - like, an unlockable "Ultra Circuit" or something like that. So... let's hope for that!

No, so far only Disco Kid is a newbie. And he was probably mutated from the original disco-themed character in the arcades.
