And thus the reason why console Pokemon games have been non-existent, or minimalistic at the most.
On the plus side, Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of the Sky broke through Japan's top ten and sat at number one with 142000 copies sold within its opening week. Wait...it was released on the 16th. That makes it 142000 copies in 3 days.
It SHOULD stay on handhelds. I mean, other than expansionish things - like, Battle Revolution and My Pokemon Ranch - we don't NEED console titles, and hopefully the craptacular Gamecube games have proved that.
The Gamecube games weren't really that great anyway. And yeah, Pokemon would be much better off on the handhelds, unless you want to take it to the big screen and battle. That's what PBR is for.
I now think that the point of not being able to communicate with other trainers on the console, is moot. We have WFC, we have Wii Speak, all that's missing is regular wireless connection.
I think they should do a console version anyway. Pokemon fans are crazy enough to get every game in the series, so it should make money like every other.
The same game guy who said G/S remakes being announced this week also said Nintendo is going to announce a new Wii Pokemon compatible with these games at E3.
