I previously had one because I sleep in a loft, but it broke and realized I don't need it at all. I still hate sleeping in total darkness though.

Nah. I actually find dark-with-some-light FAR more frightening than pure darkness. I mean, hell, if it's pitch-black than I can't see the monsters and they can't see me right?

I'm cool with not having a night light. I used to have one, but it actually prevents me from falling asleep. Lights keep me awake.
