Capcom Vs. ______ - The Custom Rosters

Tatsunoko vs. Capcom. Marvel vs. Capcom. Namco x Capcom. All good games. So... I'm going to make my own!

First, let's copypasta an old attempt from another forum - Capcom Vs. No outside games or anything, just pure Capcom action.

OVERVIEW

Capcom, convinced of its awesomeness, creates a matchup no one could have ever thought of: Capcom characters fighting with Capcom characters! Running on something between the Street Fighter IV and Tatsunoko vs. Capcom engines, it pits the greatest fighters of all time against each other in glorious 3D on a 2D plane. No gimmicks, no tricks, just fighting, fighting, fighting!

STORY

Nothing special. The game's villain... hmm... let's ay Seth, from SFIV, is fighting against Ryu, then, using his powers of Deus Ex Machina, teleports Mega Man's world! He and Ryu suddenly pop up in the middle of a showdown between Mega Man and Proto Man, confusing EVERYBODY. Then they teleport again, this time into a horde of zombies from - you guessed it - Resident Evil. This continues, Seth and Ryu in an intense fight, not even noticing the rapidly changing backgrounds...

In short all of the Capcom universes are combined, and as such, they need to unite/fight in order to fix/stop people from fixing the portals. Simple, eh? But who is REALLY behind it all?

CAST

In total, there are 16 starter characters, 8 unlockables, half of which are also the "console port" characters, and 2 non-playable bosses. Each has an entirely unique moveset, art style (though it's somewhat standardized), and all that jazz. For example, Street Fighter characters look like they do in SFIV. Amaterasu looks like Japanese watercolor. Mega Man looks, well, standard.

In normal arcade/story mode, you fight 10 characters in succession, one of four potential mini-bosses, then one of two final bosses. The mini-boss is random, the final boss depends on what character you are and what characters you fought.

(The "*" means unlockable; "+" means unlockable mini-boss; "^" means non-unlockable boss.)

Street Fighter

Ryu (Street Fighter) - The "basic" character. Pretty much plays the same as he does in... all of the Street Fighter games. Nothin' special.
Ken (Street Fighter) - Again, as in the Street Fighter games, he's a "variant" Ryu of sorts. Same feel, but changed around a bit.
Chun-Li (Street Fighter II) - Just getting the basics out of the way. Same as in Street Fighter... fast, Spinning Bird Kick, hoorah.
Abel (Street Fighter IV) - Abel seems to be the "new main character" of SFIV, so, yeah. A close-range, pseudo-grappler of sorts.
* Gouken (Street Fighter IV) - Making his SECOND apperance ever, Gouken is all kinds of kickass. Like, overpowered kickass.
* Akuma (Street Figher II) - ALSO, like, overpowered kickass. I think we all know what he's like.
+ M. Bison (Street Fighter II) - You all know him. He's strong and fast and kinda broken... though he's toned down considerably, and given a more combo-oriented moveset. He is just a mini-boss, after all.
^ Seth (Street Figher IV) - Super powerful; combines with the GENERICALLY EVIL SUPER BADDIE to become giant. Like, hands the size of a boulder giant. Lots of pretty lights and "SMUSH U!" attacks. More likely to fight him if you choose/fight characters from Street Fighter, Final Fight, Rival Schools, or Viewtiful Joe.

Mega Man

Mega Man
(Mega Man) - He runs and jumps and shoots. Somewhat basic, but with more focus on long-range attacks and moving a lot.
Proto Man (Mega Man 3) - The Ken to Mega's Ryu, he's the same style, but with more focus on turtling and defense than quick shooting.
+ Bass (Mega Man 7) - A souped-up Mega Man. Slightly less powerful, but a LOT faster. Otherwise, not much of a change.
^ Dr. Wily (Mega Man) - In a giant mecha possessed by the same GENERICALLY EVIL SUPER BADDIE as Seth, Dr. Wily pretty much just stands around firing missiles, bullets, and so forth, occasionally changing it up and hopping back and forth. More likely to fight him if you choose/fight characters from Mega Man, Resident Evil, Darkstalkers, Captain Commando, Strider, or Okami.

Resident Evil

Chris Redfield (Resident Evil) - BAM BAM BAM! A good mix of far range with guns and short range with knives and such. Slow but strong. Not too familiar with the series... but I think that sounds right.
Jill Valentine (Resident Evil) - Plays with a combination of Chris's style and her style from Marvel vs. Capcom 2. Which I don't remember at the moment. She's pretty fast, though.
+ Wesker (Resident Evil) - He gets, like, super powers in Resident Evil 5, right? So, yeah, give him those. That would be pretty badass. Really fast.

Darkstalkers

Bishamon
(Darkstalkers) - Disembodied suit of armor? Yes, please! Never actually played the series, though, so, not sure how he plays. Let's say he's good at combos.
Morrigan (Darkstalkers) - Did you expect anyone else? Somewhat basic, but with more speed than power, and a lot of annoying and distracting attacks.
* Sasquatch (Darkstalkers) - Big and slow and strong and all that. Punch and grab, throw, punch, grab, punch... nothing new.

Final Fight
Cody (Final Fight) - The well-rounded one. Slight tilt towards power, but, as a whole, a very balanced (though offense-minded) character.
* Mike Haggar (Final Fight) - Another heavy-duty character, he has a bit more speed than most, but is still a grappler at heart.

Rival Schools

Batsu Ichimonji (Rival Schools) - A lot like Ryu in a sense... but with more speed and more power, but less ability to combo. Balanced, though.
+ Hyo Imawano (Rival Schools) - He was the main baddie in the original. Combos galore. Very methodical playstyle, too... he's more of a thinker than a fighter.

Captain Commando

Captain Commando
(Captain Commando) - HEE-YA! Power, power, and more power... a tank, really. Good at range and up close, but, VERY slow.

Strider

Strider Hiryu
(Strider) - Fastest character in the game, bar none. Darts around like a bullet being all ninja-like... a bit of range, too.

Okami

Amaterasu
(Okami) - A wolf? MADNESS! General uses the shield... mirror... thing... to pound on people. Big combos; don't let the enemy fight back.

Viewtiful Joe

Viewtiful Joe
(Viewtiful Joe) - ALSO a big combo guy. Speed up, slow down, that kind of thing... plays a lot like he does in his own game.

STAGES

Yay. One for each series, give or take a few... as a quick list... same terminology applies. Also, there are various destrucable objects on the edges and stuff. For example, on a street level, there's street vendors who's carts, while not in the way, can get smashed, and walls that can be broken down to extend the stage into an alleyway or something. Most are VERY wide. Like, really, really far - there's a lot of room to breathe, and no getting caught against an invisible wall.

Streets of Japan (Street Fighter/Final Fight) - They're streets. And Japanese. Pretty basic stuff... the aforementioned stage things apply here.
Alaskan Docks (Street Fighter) - A remake of sorts of Ken's SFII stage. Barrels and such can be knocked over... tourists take pictures... you all know what I'm talking about.
* Dojo (Street Fighter) - The dojo where Ryu and Ken trained, and Gouken and Akuma were... being... themselves. Breakable walls that eventually lead outside.
Robot Master Room (Mega Man) - A background of electronics and such, it's ment to replicate the final part in Mega Man levels... nothing is breakable.
* Wily's Castle (Mega Man) - Dr. Wily's Castle! The room is near-infinitely long, with classic platforming stuff in the back/foreground (lava pits, disappearing blocks, that kinda thing). Dr. Wily fights takes place here.
African Village (Resident Evil) - A village in Africa where zombies roam. You can break down some houses that get in the way, and attack the (harmless) zombies that wander by.
Big Scary Castle (Darkstalkers) - Generic, dark-and-stormy-night Dracula castle. Starts out in the main room, but you can break down walls and extend into a dining room and study.
Hallway (Rival Schools) - Not sure if the game takes place in a school, but this stage does! A crowd of students surrounds you (shouting "Fight!"), but you can push through them on either side.
Futuristic City (Captain Commando) - You know, lots of flying cars and shiny, chrome stuff all around. Telephone booths and other "street" stuff can be knocked down.
Feudal Japanese Rooftops (Strider) - A wide, classical Japanese rooftop. Shingles fly off whenever you land after jumps, and you can't fall off the edges. But that's it.
Shinshu Field (Okami) - The main field in Okami. There's a river near the center of the stage. Whenever someone walks near it, a bridge appears (drawn, like in the game). Stage also changes from day to night.
Movieland (Viewtiful Joe) - A very stylized, film-like stage. The scene changes bit by bit, from sci-fi to action to romance to cartoon... small; bordered on either side by the edge of the filmstrip thing.
^ Void - Pretty much big empty blackness... it's where you fight Seth, but, that's it.

...so, read that, enjoy it. Tomorrow I'll start with the original title of this topic... Capcom Vs. Jump Allstars! WHOO YEAH!

RE: PF... FAILS

Are there two of these games? Because if there are, I only remember the name of one of them.

RE: Capcom Vs. ______ - The Custom Rosters

There was Jump Super Stars and Jump Ultimate Stars, but I'm imaginging how AWESOME it would be to crossover with Capcom and making a fanroster type thing because... I enjoy it and have nowhere else to put it.

On that boxart, I recognize the guy directly under the Nintendo logo in the top-right corner. I forgot his name.

The guy from Shaman King... something with an "oh" in it I think.

And really, that's it? Yugi, Goku, Yusuke, Kenshiro (whose was in my avatar for like a week?) don't jump out? You disgust me.
