Yeah. There was Nintendo vs. Sega until the N64's dying days, then Nintendo vs. Sony until the 360 came out, and then there's Nintendo vs. Sony vs. Microsoft now.
I actually have an XBOX. With three games. One, because it's my father's. One, because the place was sold out of the Gamecube version. And one, because it came with a free Yu-Gi-Oh! card.
PS2 has a crapload of games. Gamecube has Mario Sunshine, Metroid Prime, Pikmin, Mario Kart and many, many other 1st party offerings. Xbox has....Halo.
I hope history looks more fondly on the Gamecube. I mean, it was DEFINITELY behind the PS2, and it certainly stumbled, but looking back - yeah, I do think it's better than the N64. And it's just as good, if not better, than the Wii. On par with the NES.

Same thing here. We went console shopping, I wanted a gamecube, my dad wanted an Xbox, and we left the store with an Xbox. Halo's not bad, but it is the only game on the Xbox. Ok, that's not totally fair. I did enjoy Panzer Dragoon Orta. And don't even talk to me about Prince of Persia: Sands of Time.
