DG: 'If the whole game is in missions like that....'
If it consisted of more than one game, it would have more different gameplay mechanics. Shame it's only one game.
Would be the same as saying...The whole of Final Fantasy Tactics A2 is in quests, the whole of Mario Galaxy is spent collecting stars, and so on.
I don't think anyone's played Mystery Dungeon save for Pokefreak and me(and DG to a certain extent :P)
Sure, but since I found the first 2 levels very boring, and there is little developing plot, I don't really have any reason to keep playing this game.
And for the record, Final Fantasy Tactics A/A2 does suffer badly from repetitive combat and crappy story. Its a solid combat system, but they need to spice it up.
Well didn't Explorers of Darkness get a 7.5/10 from Gamespot? That's not so bad anymore, is it?
For the record, if you say PMD's story is lousy, then you shouldn't complain about how repetitive the storyline of the main series is. It's even more barren of fresh ideas.
DG: Stick with it. The story will develop, you just wait and see. Past the 5th 'story' mission or so, in the Sinister Woods.
