If you have a PSone, keep that version of MGS. If you want better graphics, more MGS2 style features, brainier enemies and new control scheme, get the Gamecube version. I read an article about the making of the Twin Snakes. They had a lot to do for a simple remake. A lot.

Fantastic game... Has the same plot twist as the original though, not that I knew that while I was playing it.
Of course it has the same story, it's a remake! The story is the only thing keeping Twin Snakes a remake, change that and you'll have a whole new game already.
No no no, I meant Metal Gear Solid, the playstation one, has a really similar twist to the original Metal Gear.
Spoiler
In the first game, you infiltrate Outer Heaven and then discover that the guy who gives you intel, and the guy who sent you there in the first place, Big Boss, is also in charge of building Metal Gear (he underestimated Snake's power). In Solid, at the end of the game you discover the guy you've been listening too (Master) is Liquid Snake and that you've been playing into his hands for the entire game.
