This is the moment you've all been waiting for... THE ROSTER HAS BEEN REVEALED!

Now, on to business! First of all, the start date has been moved to APRIL 8TH! This is too allow for an even schedule - we will have two matches the first week, then three for the next ten. So, all in all, Round One will last until... June 22nd! HOLY CRAP ISN'T THAT A LONG TIME!?

Anyways, matches will be last for 48 hours (Monday-Tuesday, Wednesday-Thursday, Friday-Saturday, Sundays off), and be between two members of each division. The next round will ALSO be between members of one division, until two from each box are left. Then we'll enter the mixed rounds, and then... well, we'll wait until that day comes, eh?

So... what's this thread for, you ask? WELL LET ME TELL YOU! Impatient idiots...

We have seven colors to choose from. Everyone who asks will get a color of their choice (assuming it's not already taken), from the following options - those in bold are still up for grabs!

KIRBY PINK!
MARIO RED!
MARTH BLUE!
LINK GREEN!
MEWTWO PURPLE!
SAMUS ORANGE!
DK BROWN!

(My personal color is Yellow - stars are usually portrayed as yellow, and this is the Kirby 5-Star Forum, and I'm in charge.)

So, what do you do with this color? Well, lots of things! First of all, you get to put your faith in one contestant. I've chosen Tingle - and, though it's not up yet, you'll soon see a little yellow star near the guy. He becomes the Yellow Star Character! This means that, not only will your own votes for your Star Character count as double, but he will automatically win any tiebreaker and earn you double winnings in your bets.

Oh, wait, I should probably mention those, huh?

Everyone starts with ten "Star Points" of their color. As I post each match, I'll also post the next match - and, if you'd like, you can send me a PM asking to put your chips on one of the two. Let's say the match is between Mario and Toad. If you think Mario will win, you can send me a PM putting five Star Points into the pot. Everyone's bets are compiled, the match is fought, and fun is had.

So, after the game is over, Mario wins. BUT WAIT! Out of the eight voters, six bet on Mario and only two on Toad! So the total pot - let's assume everyone put in five Star Points for a total of 40 - the six winners each get 6 Star Points back from the pot. The 4 leftovers are tossed into the "bonus" pot, which won't come into play until the inter-round period.

Now let's say, in an upset, TOAD wins! This means the pot of 40 is divided between two people - 20 Star Points each! And let's say someone has Toad as their Star Character! He'd get an extra 20 (out of nowhere), giving him a net gain of THIRTY-FIVE Star Points!

As a note, every-so-often there'll be a "lucky" game. This means the total pot itself will be doubled out of the goodness of my heart. So, if you win one of those and you're the only one that bets on the character and he's your Star Character... you'll have it made!

What does all of this mean? Well, whoever has the most Star Points at the end will get a special prize! What is it? You'll see.

Just as well, the character that wins this tournament will BECOME THE NEW MASCOT OF THE BOARDS! WHOO! YEAH! KIRBY 5-STAR NO MORE! TINGLE 5-STAR IS COMING YOUR WAY!

...

Oh, wait, he won't? Nevermind then. Maybe we'll give him a crown or something. Who cares, he's just a drawing.

So, I think that 'bout covers it. Sorry if it was a long read... but, damn, this is gonna be GREAT! Are you as hyped as I am!?

Oops, 32 matches, not 72. But then I didn't count in the 16-tier, 8-tier, quarter, semi and final rounds.

So, lessee....32+16+8+4+2+1=63
