It brings in members. It was useless in Gamespot because they are just one big community. It doesn't matter when unions affliate, it's just there for the sake of it. Here, since we're dealing with real sites, it'll probably turn up some good things.

Got any real life friends? Ask them to come join. Even if they don't post, just upping the member count would be nice. And if they want to spread the word, even better.
