I think so. Last time I saw it, it was named Turtley.

Well, Gold had two names for his Typhlosion. Red seems to be the only one who kept easy nicknames.

Red is a nicknaming paperweight. There are probably thousands of Pikachu's named "Pika" in Kanto.
