Now that I think about it, they should just make shiny Pichus have notch ears and have this be a battle with a shiny pichu.

I look at it and I'm like - what the hell is up with that ear? Why is only one ear different? Why does this Pokemon have a messed up ear? Was it born that way? Did it get hit by a truck? Do other Pichu dislike it for whatever reason? What POSSIBLE reason does it have to exist?

I mean, with Pikachu-Colored Pichu you're just like - oh, it's got a weird color. Cool.

Well, since they added gender-specific sprites for each Pokemon, we're seeing more and more of these different form Pokemon. Pichu is the latest craze.

But it's pretty justifiable. Just look at the Arceus movie. All the 3 Johto starters are in there, Pichu is in there. Nintendo is trying to promote a resurgence in the popularity of the Johto generation.
