Oh come on, it's really not that hard. I had some motivation to get myself to learn Japanese...it was my import copy of Kirby Air Ride, and Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Blue after that, and then Pokemon Pearl even later than that.

You get the alphabet down pat, you'll already know the Romaji, which is basically English words pronounced using the Japanese alphabet. E.g. オプション　is 'o-pu-sho-n'. Options. スペシャル　is 'su-pe-sha-ru'. Special.

Things like that.
