Edit: Playing around with phpBB. It seems extremely capable, my only complaint is in the insanely complex interface. This could be perfect.

I've asked you to go try phpBB from the very beginning, DG :P But the trouble is finding a server to host it on. Free servers usually suck and you have to pay for the good ones. They're reserved for the people who are SERIOUS about running a site.

toadster, I like your suggestion. After all, affiliation always bring good results. I just hope the forums won't lose its main purpose. Especially since the members you have are all Mario Kart players. We need people who can talk about anything. Can you assure me of this?

About the name change...yeah, I'm still reluctant. It pains me to drop 'Kirby' out. It really does. We need a catchy name. Come on, I want suggestions. I'll pick the one that suits us the most.

5-Star N? We'd need to make the N really big and a focus.

5ES? 5-Star E____ S_____, which would parallel NES/SNES. Kinda retarded idea though.

5-Star Heaven? Since half of Nintendo's name is "tendo," which has something to do with heaven.

Just spitting out ideas.

5-Star Rainbow - Lots of characters and the bright happy feel of Nintendo.

5-Star Thunder, 5-Star Lightning, 5-Star Flame - Generally badass sounding.

5-Star Paradise - ...I dunno?

5-Star 1-Up - Maybe? It could have a cool logo, at least.

5-Star Fireworks - Reference to the end of a Mario level/alliteration.

5-Star Fortress - Like, the place where a boss is at the end of a level?

5-Star Castle - Same as above, and also gives off the idea of a big, shiny place in the clouds or something.

NINTENDO! 5-Star Forums - Like, it's called NINTENDO! with 5-Star Forums as a subheading or something. Simply and effective.

Like johnny said, we'll have to lay low on the memes and spam. Come up with our own quazi "ToS". Lets get a retro gaming section up, and try to get people like the AVGN and Nostalgia Critic interested in our discussions. We need ways to appeal to EVERYBODY, in some way. Black, white, young, old. We need WEEKLY tournaments, with prizes. First, we need a following. Brotherhood will help gather some people, for sure. It won't be enough, though. Make alt accounts and advertize the forums EVERYWHERE. I can try doing a new Youtube video as well. I want this to be a success. We need good forums. I have the chatroom and advertizing under control.

It's attached and linked with Brotherhood. I can pull in lots of diverse people through this. Trust me. They don't ONLY play Mario Kart. Some Brawl, some play the Conduit, some play Pokemon, etc. The main forum will include it's own "Clan" sub forum, for everything involving that. The rest of the sub forums will be the usual (Intro, Lounge, Random). I can think of good names for each of them, to suit the castle theme.

I still like Nintendo 5-Star Forums - Nintendo as the header, 5-Star Forums as the subheader. Fortress seems good, though, too... a castle theme and all that as the gimmick. Actually, it reminds me of the Battle Frontier Logo from Pokemon Platinum.



Replace the middle thing with a half-star, half-castle and each of the colors with a corrosponding color (Red = Mario, Green = Link, Yellow = Pikachu, Pink = Kirby, Orange = Samus).

As for the castle, if we go with it, I'm thinking Peach's Castle from the Mario & Luigi games - in fact, that style should is PERFECT for what I mean by sleek but cuddly. It's very soft and round, but still very solid, which is perfect for a Nintendo forum. Like, HERE.

So, like my logo above - a big N, with a 5 and a star right next to it, or maybe a logo/star thing like I was just talking about. A nice, box-like logo.

I think a castle, fortress or major characters in a banner would all be too cliched.

I'm likin' N5☆ though.

As long as we don't slap a bunch of major Nintendo characters in the banner. I would seriously think about leaving if that happened.
